Here, you can find info on some of the characters you may
meet in Project Dissonance.
Shan
Just a chill, yet very ordinary dude. Spends most of his time watching TV or playing video games. Also,
slightly introverted in nature. He’s always looking for new people to hang out with, and is generally nice to
his peers. His call to action involves an unreal phenomenon that bestows people he knows including himself
with magical powers leading him to go investigate what exactly is happening in the world he knows…
Diane
She is a very kindhearted person. Always looking out for her friends, and is very generous. However, she is a
bit of a klutz, and her generosity has led to her getting hurt. As a result, she doesn’t socialize as much as she
used to. She joins Shan in his adventure to solve why this magical phenomenon is occurring.
This is just a hunch, but I think she might like Shan.
Cody
A cool dude. Seriously. This dude is all about being cool, dude. There is no dude who keeps cool in stressful
situations like Cody. Hobbies include skateboarding, chewing gum, and doing sick kickflips.
On the personality side of things, he’s a very simple-minded guy: don’t mess with him and he won’t mess
with you. Not exactly the most educated of people, but he does get along with similar-minded dudes (which
just happen to be skaters).
Charlotte
A pyrokinetic lass, who discovered her fire-manipulating powers when the world was blessed with magic.
She is a mostly generous girl who can also definitely backsass you if you say something really stupid.
She may look young, but she is just short. Some people call her a “shortie”… --
the same people got a deserved burn from her fireball abilities. You might not want to heckle with her!
Bentley
The quiet type. No one knows exactly why he won’t speak, but he’s proficient at displaying emotion without
making a sound. In fact, there’s still much information we don’t know about him. What does he like?
What are his hobbies? If there’s one thing we know for sure, it is that he isn’t a bad fellow.
If you can somehow get to know him, I’m sure you can see it for yourself.
Rosa
The professional flirt. She comes from the deep dark underworld and has mastered the technique of flirting
and subsequently seducing whoever she deems fit -- boys, girls, and what-have-you. She’ll date them.
Of course, this usually results in short-lived relationships between her and her “subject”.
However, she makes sure to thoroughly satisfy her partner before departing for the next one.
Travis
He was found in a trashcan somewhere that he made into his home. He lives the hobo life, is kind of oblivious,
but generally a nice guy. He came armed with a slightly-foul-smelling revolver gun that is unloaded.
Some say, if he can get just one bullet for that revolver, he can unleash its ultimate power.
We don’t know how true that is, but you could try it… what could possibly happen?
Also, he has a cool hat too. That’s just a bonus.
Flauren
A wonder of nature -- A human/plant hybrid! How did this come to be? Some time ago, her former self,
“Lauren”, eventually lost hope for herself and society, and made the unfortunate decision to attempt suicide.
She loves the forest and nature, so she spent her last hours with the forest before getting partially eaten by
a plant. She ended up symbiotically fusing with it instead…! Now she is a one-of-a-kind plant-human.
She is mostly introverted and shy, but inside, she is mostly content with becoming what she loved…
To be one with nature.
Paris
What a rich kid. What a posh kid. There isn’t much personality here, it was overtaken by capitalist greed
and looking fabulous. One codeword that could describe him is “posh”, or “rich”.
Did we mention that he is very rich?
And no, he won’t hand off some of that cash to buy upgrades or anything. That’d be stupid.
He’s probably not great at parties, either.
NPCs, and some fan-favorite characters
Queen Bethany
This island used to be a monarchy with this lady and her current ex as the top authority figures running it…
But, that was put to an end when the king left, and the people wanted to have a democracy instead.
Now Bethany is more or less just a simple President, rather than being in full control.
She gets to keep her nice dress though. She makes the active effort to be a caring and responsible authority
around the place, and the people are content with her being in charge of the place.
She carries with her an elegant and serene aura that cannot be replaced.
Nash
A mysterious fellow. You thought Bentley was mysterious? This guy has a cool sword, shades, and leather jacket.
There’s still much we don’t know about him.
Is it just me, or does he look a bit like Shan?
Pearl
Just like the island has their central president, the ocean is ruled by highly-intelligent fish.
Meet Pearl, the queen mermaid. She’s cocky, far-sighted, and very territorial. She speaks for most of the
mermaid kind, and runs the underwater town closest to the island.
She was chosen to be queen because of her size and fighting skill involving her glaive weapon.
Her glaive can chop right through a tree in one swing. However, she isn’t as good at fighting on land.
Cindy
This fluffy cloud lady is the result of the huge magic phenomenon that also created a race of cloud people.
She is calm and mostly polite, however she gets pretty sassy at times.
She didn’t always wear these clothes, since the cloud people didn’t even know what clothes were.
It was after a raunchy incident with some insolent humans that she felt the need to conceal herself
behind these clothes. Even though it isn’t much concealing, to be honest.
Karen
Your friendly neighborhood shopkeeper. She runs the store just down the road from Shan’s house.
She is naturally polite and sweet-hearted, and serves her customers with a smile. Some people say that she
could probably make for a sufficient mother-figure in someone’s life, based on the high level of respect she
gives to customers and peers alike.
Hobbies include: knitting, organizing stuff, relaxing, and making others happy.
Helen
You’ve seen a human plant, now get ready for a human bird.
Helen is the result of putting new age technology and fusion operations together to allow Helen to fulfill her
dreams since she was a child: to fly high, among the clouds, just like a bird could.
Birds can’t fly that high but we get what she means.
Now she can live it! And, she seems mostly happy with the transformation.
She can still do most of her daily tasks just fine, but now with the power of f l i g h t .
Bison and Penelope

Bison runs an industry codenamed Bison Industries, where he built a maid-robot named Penelope.
You could call Bison an inventor, but he is more of a businessman.
Penelope is an A.I. maid robot who was engineered to have authentic human emotions and thought processes.
No, these two aren’t related, however it seems Penelope has her eyes on another robot…
Hexe

A mysterious dimension-hopping limbless witch who possesses strange magic powers and an army of minions,
seeking world domimation. Once human, this nasty witch was transformed into this monstrous form by a
certain "incident". Don't let her cute looks fool you, beware of her powers!
Red

A fine dude who's obsessed with the color red, doesn't socialize much, and is easily interested with new things.
He creates stuff, such as his most recent weapon: the ruby blaster, a shiny weapon that can paint stuff red!
This dude is also warm hearted and cares for anyone that feels down, though he is pretty naive.
Don't underestimate him though, because he might get really powerful when he's mad!
Phina
A girl from the snowy town, who seems to be perpetually sad. Awe.
But why is she sad? Nobody seems to know. She doesn’t seem like a bad person…
Her main interest is exotic fish creatures, however it is impossible for her to see any unless she moves
to somewhere where there is an ocean, and not so blastedly cold.
Do you think she’d be excited to meet Pearl? Or maybe she just needs a hug?
Melody
The island’s premiere singing superstar! Miku’s got nothing on her.
She’s got contracts with all sorts of record labels and all that legal celebrity mumbo jumbo, but all you need
to know is that she sings for a living, and people love her work.
You think we could get an autograph for my brother? He’s a big fan.

Who’s she and where did she come from?
It probably doesn’t matter, since she doesn’t look like a threat to anyone. Word on the street is that Nash may
have something for her…
She seems like a nice lady, though. Maybe that’s why someone’s got their eyes on her…
